The 6″ (150 mm) Humidistat Air Vent is specifically designed to extract damp air from kitchens and larger bathrooms. The Humidistat sensor turns the fan on automatically when the relative humidity (dampness) of the air reaches a level that could cause condensation problems.
It can also be used in basement waterproofing projects to help control relative humidity (RH) in order to help achieve a Grade 3 environment to BS8102:2009. The Humidistat Air Vent also complies with BS3456 and BS800 and its motor is protected by thermal safety cut out.
The Humidistat Air Vent is double insulated, and is capable of displacing 260 m3/hour, or 72 litres/second.
