Stop mould growth on walls, even in areas with high levels of condensation, using Dryzone® ACS Mould Eradication Additive. It is ideal for stopping mould growth on walls and ceilings in properties where it is not possible to carry out more expensive measures to stop condensation.
The high-performance additive is simply mixed into gloss paints, wallpaper paste and grouts. This gives them mould-resistant properties, preventing the growth of mould on the dried surface. Ideal for walls and ceilings in private and social housing and a wide range of public and commercial buildings.
Treated surface will remain mould-resistant for up to 5 years after application and do not affect the washability of the substance to which it has been added.

Preparation
Preparation is straightforward and very similar to normal good decorative practice. Remove any loose material such as old paint, grease, dirt, mould or defective wallpaper. Dryzone® 100 Mould Killer can
be used for wetting mould-contaminated wallpaper prior to removing it.
- Make good any defects in the surface and rub down to a smooth finish.
- Wash and clean all surfaces (walls, ceilings, window frames and joinery) using Dryzone® 100 Mould Killer. If necessary clean badly affected areas a second time.
- Allow to dry thoroughly.
- If necessary, apply an appropriate primer or sealer to new, unprimed or porous plaster and wooden surfaces or bare metal.
Mixing
Emulsion based paints - vinyl, silk or matt:
Add 100 ml of Dryzone® ACS Mould Eradication Additive to 5 Litres. Blend the additive liquid until fully dispersed, for at least 1 minute.
Solvent based paints - primer, undercoat or gloss:
Add 50 ml of Dryzone® ACS Mould Eradication Additive to 5 Litres. Blend the additive liquid until fully dispersed, for at least 1 minute.
Wallpaper paste and Tile grout:
Add 100 ml of Dryzone® ACS Mould Eradication Additive to 5 Litres. Blend the additive liquid until fully dispersed, for at least 1 minute.
Application
Apply the paint, paste or grout in the normal way according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Do not overcoat the anti-mould finish (or wallpaper over it) as this will effectively seal in the mould-resistant finish and allow the mould to grow back.
If an unfinished, textured wallpaper (blown vinyl, woodchip etc.) or similar is to be used then it should be hung after the Dryzone® 100 Mould Killer has fully dried. The wallpaper should then be coated with the anti-mould finish as above.
