Oldroyd Xs Slimline Membrane (2 m × 20 m)
- BBA Approved low profile membrane
- Cover damp & contaminated floors
- Compatible with insulation and underfloor heating
- Fast-track flooring over newly laid slabs
Oldroyd Xs is a low-profile cavity drainage membrane with damp-proofing and radon control applications.
The polypropylene membrane is embossed with a pattern of grooves. These allow moisture to move behind the membrane and allow for shrinkage movement when screeds are laid on top.
Oldroyd Xs is typically used to cover damp or contaminated floor slabs before a flooring finish is laid on top. It can also be used to fast-track the application of most types of floor finishes over newly laid slabs by allowing the floor finish to be applied without having to wait for the slab to full "dry down."
A wide choice of flooring types can be laid on top of Oldroyd Xs. For example, screeds, particle board, and laminated wooden flooring. Most forms of insulation and under-floor heating can also be used in conjunction with the system, where required.
Oldroyd Xs is considerably thicker than traditional DPMs making it more resiliant to damage on site.
Joins between sections of Oldroyd Xs are formed using Oldroyd double-sided tape. In some cases (e.g. radon control) a double-seal is formed with the addition of Oldroyd overseal tape.
